Never Give Up

Never give up is something that I have lived by for my whole life and it is a real testament to who I am. I understand that this sounds very cliché, but it something that can describe what type of person I want to be.  I take a lot of things in my life very seriously and it really helps me push towards my goals and just makes me a better person.  It puts many things in perspective for yourself in what you need to work towards and what you have achieved.  One thing that I take very seriously is soccer because it has been a job for probably the past 7-8 years of my life.  The practices where you can't hold back in and have to put everything into everything you do makes you better.  Never giving up on anything in soccer has gotten me to where I am today.  I can thank some people in my life for pushing me to my limit to where I thought I wasn't going to make it, but you have to put everything you have to get better.  If your not going to put everything you have into something then why do it?  If your going to get better at anything then your going to have to practice it so many times to get better.  There have been many long trips to Texas, Florida, and Canada just to name a few.  So many hours of practice have gone into make sure that when it comes time for those games I am ready to perform at my best when the whistle blows.
I have this type of mentality when really doing anything in life outside of sports.  School is a huge commitment and I have to divot many hours of homework to make sure I understand the material that we are learning.  Being and education major make you retain a lot of information that you will carry onto the next class and have to apply it to what your learning then.  It only right that I put that type of effort into making sure that I will be a great teacher and make my students understand the material so they can be successful.  In addition, making sure that the students that have special needs I am making sure that they met.  Just having a mentality to never want to give up have brought me to where I am today and I wouldn't have it any other way.

  1. I think that your mantra "Never Give Up" is an important saying to live by. No matter what life throws at you it is important to keep pushing through. I can definitely relate to devoting countless hours to homework, field experience, lesson plans, etc. as an education major. It is important to remember your objective and reason for hard work, to never give up, and fulfill your ultimate goal of making a difference in the lives of the children you teach.

  2. This is definitely a saying that one kid needs to hear from his parents or even from the teachers one day in his life. Regardless of it being cliche, the saying packs a never ending meaning. "Never Give Up" can be interpreted how you seek it out to be. If you have a goal and achievement in your life that you strive for then don't give up, because there is no way you can accomplish it if you aren't devoting your full self to that goal. The mentality you developed is the one that our society lacks drastically and it is simple as teachers to tell a student to never give up. As teachers we our the second largest impact on the kid's life behind family. Saying little phrases like this can really steer a kid into the right path and direct him away from the wrong ones. Continue to seek this mentality and don't look back, good things come when following this. It has brought you many experiences of success, so why look away from it now? You're spot on, keep "Never Giving Up".

  4. This is such a good outlook to have on life! I couldn't agree more with you as people need to keep going when the going is tough. Im sure everyone wants to quit every once in a while but you must keep going. I completely see where you are coming from with the sports aspect. I strongly agree how this saying really applies to sports, being an athlete to i understand what you mean as you have to push yourself through all the intense practices.
